Weekly themes include: Creation, Connection, Trust and Metamorphosis.

Introductions
Birth Options: Understanding how birth works and making choices that support the process
Anatomy & Physiology of Late Pregnancy
All about labor and birth-how to know when you're in labor, stages of labor, natural labor coping techniques
Class 2 Connection
Discuss both partners emotions & fears around labor and birth
Emotional reposponse to pain and needs of birthing women
Importance of partner connection and support though the entire birth process
Connection with unborn baby on birth process
Importance of conscious communication with partner and birth team
Review stages of labor and natural coping techniques
Class 3 Trust
Dicuss slow to progress labors, back labor and other common variations of labor
The hospital: what to expect; electronic fetal monitoring; intravenous fluids; immediate procedures after birth for mom and baby.
Intervention Umbrella: induction & augmentation medications; pain relief with epidurals and narcotics; Instrumental delivery
Cesarean birth
Class 4 Metamorphosis
Becoming a mother/father
Postpartum recovery of mom and baby
Breastfeeding (positions, latch, diaper counts, pumping breast milk)
Basic newborn care
Review all coping techniques
Reunion (Scheduled after all babies are born)
